  26. 1.0 EFECTS PROCESSOR PRO FEATURES

  28. EPP is a real-time audio effects processor for Win 95/98.
  29.  
  30. EPP offers a flexible palette of high quality modulation effects (phaser, flanger,
  31. chorus, tremolo, C-Delay) to enhance any audio material.  A simple, accurate and
  32. customizable tool for your creativity.

  34. - real-time processing of every input (CD, line-in, mic, synth...) of your audio board.
  35. - real-time and off-line processing of .WAV files
  36. - effective real time; really low latency time.
  37. - no noise due to processing: all processing procedures and links between effects sections
  38.   are made with 64 bit accuracy, this ensures truly clean and noiseless sound.

  47. 2.0 INSTALLATION

  49. EPP requires:
  50. - Pentium  processor 
  51. - 16 bit sound card (full duplex 16 bit sound card to take full advantage of the "live input" feature)
  52. - video board with at least 256 colors capabilities (recommended >=65536 colors).

  54. To install EPP you have to:
  55.  
  56. - create a proper  folder on your hard disk  
  57. - unzip "epp20.zip" (the zipped file you have found on the net) into that folder
  58. - create a short cut to "epp20.exe"
  59.

  61. "Installation & configuration" section of EPP help file.

  99. 3.0 EFFECTS OVERVIEW

  101. FLANGER
  102. Flanging is an effect produced by mixing a signal with a delayed time-varied copy of itself. 
  103. This generates a typical "whooshing" sound.
  104. EPP flanger program produces stereo flanging with two flanges that move in a user definable 
  105. relationship with each other.

  107. Parameters
  108. delay: affects flanging timbre.
  109. depth: regulates the modulation depth.
  110. rate: regulates the speed of the modulation.
  111. feedback: controls signal recirculation. It creates a sharper timbre.
  112. degree: allows stereo enhancing of the incoming audio signal.
  113. mix: controls the unprocessed/processed signal ratio.

  115. This flanger works also as a stereo comb-filter, and it can be useful to produce 
  116. interesting effects.

  119. PHASER
  120. EPP phaser program produces stereo phasing. This effect, popular in the '70s, creates 
  121. a sound similar to a Flanger, but less metallic.

  124. Frequency: affects phasing timbre
  125. depth: regulates the modulation depth.
  126. rate: regulates the speed of the modulation.
  127. feedback: controls signal recirculation. It creates a sharper timbre 
  128. degree: allows stereo enhancing of the incoming audio signal
  129. mix: controls the unprocessed/processed signal ratio

  131. This phaser works also as a stereo allpass-filter (plus unprocessed signal added). 
  132. This creates a sophisticated notch filtering action.

  135. CHORUS
  136. Chorusing is an effect that creates the impression that a given part is being played by more
  137. musicians together. It is used often to sweeten and widen the sound of an instrument. 
  138. As for a flanger, it is produced by mixing the incoming audio signal with a delayed time-varied 
  139. Copy of itself. Unlike flanging, the chorus delay is wider (>8ms).
  140. EPP chorus program is a four voice chorus (two stereo pairs).

  143. delay: affects chorus timbre and dimension.
  144. depth: regulates the modulation depth.
  145. rate: regulates the speed of the modulationMOD.
  146. feedback: controls signal recirculation creating a sharper timbre, and a "small reverb" sensation.

  154. TREMOLO + RESONANT LP FILTER
  155. This effect continuously changes the amplitude of a signal creating the impression of a pulsing
  156. source. Thanks to the additional resonant low pass filter, itÆs the perfect tool to achieve
  157. great vintage sounds (electric pianos,guitars...).

  171. This effect creates a rich chorused delay. Its flexibility allows to obtain a great variety
  172. of effects like crisp and wide stereo choruses, long delays (up to 1 second), modulated delays,
  173. spatial enhancing and more.

  221. When you install EPP the program is in a "demo" mode. This means that you cannot use all
  222.  features of the full version, but you can test the software before you decide to purchase it.

  224. Without registering your copy of EPP, the following restrictions apply :

  226. - Audio stream pauses every 15 seconds during wave file processing
  227. - Audio stream stops every 1 minute during live input processing
  228. - You are not able to save files longer than 15 seconds

  233. Registering Effects Processor Pro you will get a personal registration number; as a 
  234. registered user you will receive further passwords to unlock all the intermediary minor

  238. Minor releases consist of bug fixes, little changes and small feature additions.
  239. Major releases correspond to an increment in the major version number, (i.e. 1.0,2.0).

  280. EPP is a SHAREWARE application (JUST FOR $30 U.S.). 
  281. Subject to the terms below, you are licensed to use this software for evaluation purposes

  284. But if you try a shareware program (as EPP) - and continue using it - you are required to
